Design
The Design Team has the experience and skills needed to address the design challenges of our customers. Our collective experience includes both formal training and decades of applied experience in the design of hydraulic cylinder applications.
We utilize design tools such as 3-D modeling CAD to decrease the design to production time, minimize design errors, and have the ability to share the end drawing with our customers for their internal technical needs. The design team also works closely with our manufacturing teams. Despite their seemingly distant locations, our international manufacturing facilities also help us to offer rapid product delivery times

Infrastructure
SEA Hydrosystems manufacturing facility is spread over 7000 Sq .Mtrs land area at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, South India. This large scale industrial town is well connected to the ports and is surrounded by multinational manufacturing companies. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machines including CNC turning centers, VMCs, semiautomatic machines, automatic welding & hydraulic cylinder testing benches.
As a part of our Global Delivery Framework, SEA Hydrosystems has setup office in Singapore and is in the process of setting up service and contact centers in Australia to ensure reduced service turnaround time, minimized costs and reduced production downtime for our clients.
Quality Policy
At SEA Hydro, we are committed to deliver quality products for our clients. To meet our own high standards of ensuring our products work with highest efficiency and minimum maintenance, we focus on high level of quality in all phases and clean room assembly.
Apart from R&D, we also are investing continuously in semi and fully automated equipments for our production facility. We deliver timely prototype designs and have complete cylinder analysis and testing capabilities that include

- Endurance Testing
- Burst Testing
All finished cylinders are 100% dimension checked and pressure validated at 1.5X the required working pressure to ensure safety and is tested to ensure products are free from leakage and dimensional errors.
All imported and indigenous raw materials are subjected to rigorous inspection to match our own quality demands and customer’s technical requirement and is in full accordance with SAE J214. Quality protocols are in full compatibility with ISO 9001:2008.
To meet our rigid quality assurance seal, only the finest materials are used in SHPL manufactured hydraulic cylinders. To name a few –
- Our honed Tube is micro honed or skived & roller burnished for superior finish with Ra value less than 0.3μ with material grade ST 52.3 and DIN 2391.
- We employ single piece design for our Pistons to accommodate specially imported low friction Seals which bears operating pressures upto 400 bars.
- The complementing Piston Rod is either CK45 or AISI-1045 which is ground and hard chrome plated with 20μ minimum thickness.
- Our end Clevises are forged and accurately machined. Glandfs are cast from Ductile Iron ASTM A536 65-45-12.
- We ensure positive guidance for our guidance system by employing Turcite/Phosphor bronze bushings.
